BRE Services partnered with a long-standing client in the freight and logistics sector to deliver a large-scale electrical installation project across three key areas of their facility. The scope included the deployment of an automated shuttle retrieval system, material handling equipment (MHE), and conveyor systems to support high-volume e-commerce operations.
The project began with the installation of an eight-aisle automated shuttle system, designed to streamline the retrieval and movement of totes. BRE then integrated MHE and conveyors to facilitate seamless product flow between the shuttle system and designated pick stations for online order fulfillment. The final phase involved installing electrical infrastructure for the automated conveyor system, enabling efficient part transfers between legacy systems and new packing stations.
Given the complexity of the machinery and the dynamic factory environment, the project demanded precise coordination and collaboration. BRE designed and installed cable pathways using tray and duct systems, and completed terminations for a wide range of components including MCCs, sensors, isolators, motors, and labellers.
At its peak, the project engaged a team of up to 30 electricians, reflecting BRE’s capacity to scale and deliver under demanding conditions. The result was a fully integrated, high-performance system that enhanced operational throughput and supported the client’s growing logistics demands.
