BRE Services was engaged to design and manufacture a fully automated transfer table to streamline the handling of decking boards within a high-throughput manufacturing line. The system was engineered to transfer boards seamlessly between production stages, enabling accumulation and efficient downstream processing through a surface finisher prior to packing.
The solution featured a servo-driven pusher mechanism that enabled precise accumulation and transfer of boards exiting the extruders. This design ensured continuous flow and minimized production interruptions. A built-in check weigher was integrated to perform periodic quality checks, verifying that boards met defined tolerances.
To enhance operational flexibility, the system was programmed to accommodate up to three different board sizes. Prior to deployment, BRE’s Safety team conducted a comprehensive risk assessment to ensure full compliance with safety standards and mitigate potential hazards.
The result was a robust, intelligent transfer solution that improved production efficiency, ensured consistent product quality, and supported the client’s evolving manufacturing needs.
