BRE Services delivered a comprehensive safety upgrade for an existing brick extrusion line, managing the project from concept through to final validation. The objective was to elevate safety standards and ensure compliance with modern regulations through the integration of advanced safety technologies.
The scope included the design and installation of new guarding systems, guard locking switches with a domino key system, and the addition of emergency stop buttons and lanyards. These components were integrated using a SICK Flexi Loop safety system and connected to the existing Siemens control infrastructure for seamless operation.
BRE conducted a full risk assessment of the area and developed a detailed Safety Requirements Specification (SRS). Our team created the electrical and mechanical upgrade designs and implementation plan to ensure compatibility with the existing systems.
Installation and safety validations were completed to confirm flawless operation of all components. The result was a safer, more compliant workplace with reduced operational risk.
